​About Me

I am licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).  I have nearly 20 years experience in the behavioral health and substance abuse fields, and graduated from Georgia State university with a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling in 1996.

My primary training at Georgia State was in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). However over the years I  have received training in other forms of psychotherapy which I integrate with CBT to individualize treatment for each of my clients. 

My clinical experience has included; 

*  Managing  a substance abuse program what at McIntosh Trail in Griffin, Ga

*  Developing and teaching anger management and stress management groups.

*  Co-facilitated Domestic Violence Groups.

*  Individual and group counseling for Drug Court.

*  Individual and Couples Counseling in Private Practice for the past 15 years.

I have been a resident of Fayette County since 1983.  This is a second career for me, I previously worked for Eastern Airlines and went back to graduate school after my airline career.  Because of my work experience I believe I can relate to special challenges faced by airline families.
